So sad to hear of the passing on Saturday 8th November of Chris Herriman, also known
as Chris Day on Radio Warrington.
Chris contracted severe meningitis a few years ago and ended up in a ‘life and death’
situation. He eventually recovered but was left with further health difficulties
for the rest of his days.
His enthusiasm for 50-60’s music was evident in his Sunday show and was something
to look forward to each week.
Although only knowing Chris for a short time we developed a good friendship and related
various stories and anecdotes over the local airwaves of the early Rock-n-Roll years
My sincere condolences go to his family at this time.
